BreakAway systems are safety couplings designed to be installed between the hose or loading arm and a mobile charging point (tanker, vessel, train, etc.). It consists of two symmetrical parts connected by three break pins that, when intact, allow the circulation of liquids. When parts are separated, the flow stops automatically through the existing inner valves.

BreakAway systems are recommended in most sectors, from chemicals from industry to food, but also from pharmacy and gasoline. In short, in every possible situation of flammable, corrosive, toxic or risky products.

Example situation:
A tanker truck fills a depot in a chemical factory via a hose. The driver forgets to disconnect and drives away. In these circumstances, without the Gasso BreakAway system, the hose would break or even worse, the action would break and leak the fixed installation. The BreakAway system prevents a similar risk. After the incident, only the broken break pins need to be replaced and the system is ready for use again.
