Here is the list of minimal damage to look at:

• • leaks at the hose fitting or in the hose makeup; 
• • damaged, cut or abraded covers; 
• • exposure of reinforcement wires from the hose material; 
• • signs of kinked, cracked or flattened areas in the hose section; 
• • hose ends degraded, pitted or badly corroded at the fittings; 
• • number of floatation collars on the hose string.
